TS2: Default Replacement Terrain
I come bearing a small gift. I’ve spent hours and simoleons making my terrain pretty on each lot, so eventually I downloaded a greener grass replacement, and used my favourite terrain on it.
The terrain has been in my downloads folder since the dawn of time. It came with a lot from the exchange, which I only ever used in the first few months of TS2 before I found other downloads site. The terrain is simply called “BA_MallowMeadow”, I’ve tried googling it, but I have no idea who created the original texture. Whoever you are, thank you. Yours is the only terrain that has ever made it through every single clear out my downloads folder has endured since 2004. Your terrain basically won the Hunger Games every year for twelve years. Congrats.
Then I simply replaced the textures on the Greener Grass Replacement by mzcynnamon.
This is the base texture, as I’ve said, it’s called Mallow Meadow by BA, or maybe it’s called BA_MallowMeadow by someone who didn’t put their name on it. Whoever created it, it is loved by me.

It gets a little crunchy along the edges on the non-road facing side of your lot, but not so much that it would ruin gameplay. Well it might. This could be a deal breaker for you, but for me it’s good enough.
There is a version 2 in progress, but it could be years before I get around to finishing it. I’m trying to find a nice replacement for the pavement.
